I’ve discovered that I don’t like to diet.  Really, in all actuality, who does?  The problem is that I feel like I’m supposed to diet.  I don’t know if it is a societal thing, or a woman thing, or both.  All I know is that when I am on a diet I feel deprived, guilty if I cheat, and downright miserable.  Not to mention hungry.   I changed my mind.  After 20 years or so of trying diet after diet I decided that I was done.  Don’t get me wrong, I’m not a chicken-fried steak kind of girl or anything.  I like healthy food.  I’m curvy.   I exercise.  Why will this work for me?  I know that if I am not at a good weight I will  be unhappy.  Just because I am not dieting per se, does not mean that I am throwing in the towel and eating everything in sight.  The human body isn’t designed to do that.  I just won’t restrict myself of everything pleasurable.  I want to enjoy food and life.  So, this 33 year old military wife is going to.

I have a bachelor’s degree in psychology so I understand what the mental berating does to someone’s psyche.  I also have a Master’s Degree in Education.  I may be able to teach, but it’s so much more fun to learn.

I’m an executive assistant who desperately desires a culinary degree.

I have a fascination for makeup.

This sounds oddly like a personal ad.  Creepy.

Hope you like the site.

  7. Hi Lu,

I SO agree with you! So glad you stopped dieting and found a new way of doing things. Life is too short to not enjoy food. But if you enjoy it the wrong way, life is even shorter. Looks like you got that figured out! :)

I am excited to read more of your blog. Love the hair in your picture!
